The Genius of SPACE project builds innovative water and waste treatment solutions in informal settlements in South Africa. Block S & T in Langrug, Western Cape is the pilot site for phase one of this project.
The project uses Biomimicry principles to clean up the grey water, storm water, and solid waste challenges that the community face, and is also part of the Berg River Improvement Plan.
These low tech, easily maintained solutions will help to address the key challenges faced by this community such as health and well being.
The Genius of SPACE project was initiated by the Western Cape Government.
